Upon my retirement from education, I was thrilled to start my new career path as a vacation designer and team member at Cruise and Travel Ventures, LLC. After 34 years as a music teacher and junior high school counselor, the opportunity to help others enjoy and indulge in the beauty of world travel was an opportunity not to be missed. While still teaching, I had traveled extensively in North America and cruised in the Caribbean, Alaska, and Northern Europe. Since becoming a vacation designer, I have found and added a new passion: Small ship adventure and expedition cruising. Adventure and Expedition cruises offer an entirely different kind of experience for active people. You can swim with sea turtles off the coast of Panama, camp overnight on Antarctica, or kayak with whales in Alaska. As we connect with the best of what nature has to provide, we find a level of gratitude and grace with our fellow human beings.

Small ships are not only for adventure and expedition cruises. River cruising also offers a unique small ship experience while traveling in luxury. In addition, the ability to connect with and experience local cultures is enhanced on a river cruise. As I continue to add to my specialist arsenal, river cruises are a priority.

Whether you want to kayak in Costa Rica, walk with the penguins in Antarctica, bike from the ship to a wine tasting in France, or view the Northern Lights in Norway, it will be my pleasure to design your next cruising adventure.
